From this...
“Okay, yes! I get it! I understand that you're down!
Now, tell me exactly what message is now on your screen... No, tell it to me word-for-word!” (Look, honey, I'm sorry about dinner-and-a-movie but I've got no choice. I'm going to have to go out there myself and fix this... Yeah, I know, ‘again.’) “Hello! Yes, I'm back! Look, I know it's late, but we've gotta fix this! Now let's get started: click on ‘Table Repair’ and type in this table-name...” |
To this...
“Whenever this message appears, click on this icon.
No, no, you don't have to do anything else... just click it!
The problem will most-likely fix itself,
and you can just go back to work.
Now, if for some reason it does not work,
then e-mail the ‘detailed report’ to me.”
(Or... your custom application can automatically launch the repair-process and send the report to you itself!) |
Before ChimneySweep, Paradox table repair was an error-prone process that an expert programmer would probably have no choice but to do himself ... on-site, manually, one table at a time.
ChimneySweep transforms Paradox table repair into a process that clients can reliably do by themselves, automatically, with just one double-click of the mouse. It handles an entire database at one time (if you want it to), with no user intervention required once the process has started. (Literally, “just sit back and watch it go!”) Yet, your company’s I.S. department never loses control of the situation, because ChimneySweep does exactly what you tell it to do ... nothing more or less.
ChimneySweep is also fast! ChimneySweep uses proprietary algorithms that are about 100 times faster than Paradox Table Repair (TUTIL32), in actual side-by-side tests, and considerably more thorough. Because of its ability to work with an entire database at one time, ChimneySweep can detect error conditions that other tools simply can’t.
Even though we originally built this product out of our own need, and envisioned it strictly “as an in-house tool,” ChimneySweep is used today by thousands of companies, software developers, software manufacturers, governments, and other organizations throughout the world. Almost every one of those customers learned about it entirely by word-of-mouth.
